New Patients

New patients of all ages are always welcome at Kogan+Kogan, from young children to seniors, from across the Greater Cleveland area.

We hope that our relationship with you and your family will be as long-lasting as those we have established with our current patients through our collective 48 years of practicing dentistry.

Understanding you as our patient is more than simply reviewing your medical and dental histories, and looking at your teeth. We will have a detailed discussion about your past dental experiences, your values, your life, and your own goals for your overall health and oral health.
Time and attention are two of the most valuable services we offer. You’ll never feel rushed.

Before Your Appointment

Before you visit our Lyndhurst office for the first time, we will ask you to complete paperwork in advance. This will help us make the most of our time together, so we can focus on you and your oral-systemic health needs.

Frequently Asked Questions

What Is Your Payment Policy?

We ask that you pay for all services in full at the time they are provided unless other arrangements have been made.

What Forms of Payment Do You Take?

Do You Offer Any Kind of Payment Plans?

Do You Accept Dental Insurance?

We are not in-network providers. However, we’ll be glad to file insurance claims on your behalf. We do not make any treatment decisions based on your dental benefits.

Do You Have to Take X-rays?

X-rays allow us to see the health of your teeth, gums, and bone in ways that a plain visual exam cannot. Every new patient must have a current full mouth series of x-rays before we can do any necessary work. It serves as a baseline for future care.

We use digital imaging only, which reduces radiation exposure by as much as 90% compared with traditional film x-rays, while also providing higher quality images. We can also provide a homeopathic remedy to help your body handle the effects of the radiation it is exposed to.

If you have a x-rays from another dentist that are less than a year old, we may be able to use them. Feel free to have them sent or bring them along with you to see if they’ll be of diagnostic value to us.

Do You Keep a Fragrance-Free Office?

We do use essential oils in our office, but this has never been a problem for many patients with multiple chemical sensitivities we have seen over the years.

We use IQ Air and Austin Air purification systems throughout the office and especially while handling disruptive dental materials to minimize odors and patient exposure.

If you have other special accommodation needs, just let us know. We will do everything we can to make your experience a positive one.
